Red chocolate and smiling people
(2013, Cupola Art Gallery, Iasi, Romania)

Red chocolate and smiling people is an artistic project built through performance, installation and painting and brings attention to public on the insurmountable conflict generated by the passing of the last 23 years of transition from communism to capitalism. The difference between the social classes developed during this period, illustrated by characters from different generations and social classes, which are placed in an unnatural and inconvenient bargaining relationship, suggests a young society, led by a political class influenced by communism, in an endless transition. The red chocolate, as an allusion to communist practices, is undoubtedly accepted by the smiling people, who guarantee this precarious situation, without good chances for a dignified, vertical status.
